The Jefferson, Ga., native, a starting middle blocker for KSU, was involved with Reflections of Trinity, a non-profit dedicated to meeting the basic needs of those in crisis with food, clothing and housewares. Burrage led the team in blocks (104) and blocks per set (0.91), both season numbers ranking among the top 10 in a season in school history, while ranking second in CUSA in hitting percentage (.368) with 2.16 kills per set. Her play was key in helping the Owls, predicted to finish seventh in the preseason poll, to a fourth-place finish in the regular season and a trip to the CUSA Tournament semifinals after claiming a win in the quarterfinal round. Currently she holds a 3.15 GPA while majoring in elementary education.
KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball redshirt sophomore Olivia Burrage became the school’s first CUSA Spirit of Service Award Winner, as she was the Owls’ representative on the Fall 2024 Team, the conference office announced. The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with this fall’s honorees representing men’s cross country, football, women’s soccer and volleyball.
