He’ll play an invaluable role for the Camels battery again in 2025.Dalen ThompsonOutfielder Dalen Thompson was an offensive dynamo for Campbell in 2024, batting .313 and slugging .554 with a .950 OPS – all highs among returning Camels. Head Coach: Chad Holbrook 2024 Record: 41-14 (21-5 CAA) Players to Watch Will Baumhofer Along with Avery Neaves, Will Baumhofer is one of two returning Cougars who hit .333 or better with at least 189 at-bats in 2024. Baumhofer was also the most prolific base-stealer for a Charleston lineup that thrived at small-ball offense, successfully swiping 16 bags on 17 attempts. Jake Brink As one of three primary starters, righty Jake Brink took on the heaviest workload with 92 ⅔ innings pitched in 2024. He maintained a 3.69 ERA, struck out a team-leading 62 batters, and with an opponent batting average of .231, led Charleston’s starting staff. If Brink can make strides similar to his improvements from 2023 to 2024, he’ll be one of the most dominant pitchers in all of college baseball this season. Aiden Hunter Aiden Hunter transferred to Charleston from South Carolina before the 2023 season, initially working out of the Cougars bullpen. He moved to the starting rotation in 2024 and was excellent, earning All-CAA recognition for his 7-1 record in 16 appearances. Hunter struck out 56 over 76 ⅔ innings of work, gave up an opponent batting average of .264, and posted a WHIP of 1.38. Avery NeavesOutfielder Avery Neaves shined in 2024 and heads into 2025 poised to be one of the top hitters in the CAA. He batted a team-leading .338 with a 1.190 OPS last season, the latter tops among all returning Coastal hitters, and slugged .715. Neaves’ 15 home runs were second among all Cougars. His combination of power and consistency provides Charleston with its pillar for the offense following Mathis’ departure for MLB. He hit .276 in his first season with the Blue Hens and homered six times. In 2024, he hit nine home runs and drove in 42 runs. Coming off a strong summer in the Perfect Game Collegiate League, hitting .312 in 61 at-bats and producing a .948 OPS for Saugerties, Amato heads into Year 3 at Delaware poised to be one of the Blue Hens impact players. Aaron Graeber Coming off a sensational 2024, Aaron Graeber ranks among the top returning batters in the CAA for 2025. The outfielder delivered both consistency with a .312 average and power, homering 14 times. He slugged .608 and one-dotted with a 1.021 OPS. Graeber also combined his knack for getting aboard with speed on the base paths, stealing a team-best 11 bags on 15 attempts. [embedded content]Ethan Shaub Lefty Ethan Shaub returns for his senior campaign after 2024 in which he threw 48 innings and made 10 starts. Shaub produced the best ERA among Delaware’s pitching staff at 4.13 and struck out 30 batters. If Shaub can limit opponent hitting – he surrendered a .312 average a season ago – he could be a reliable Friday starter for the Blue Hens. Kenny Mallory Jr. A transfer from SEC powerhouse Vanderbilt, Kenny Mallory Jr. really settled into his role at Elon during his second season with the Phoenix. Mallory slashed an impressive .354/.462/.520 in 198 at-bats in 2024 and nearly one-dotted on his way to Team MVP and All-CAA honors. Mallory leads the Coastal’s crop of 2025 MLB draft prospects, with plenty of room to improve his stock in the coming campaign. Another leap approaching the huge strides he made from 2023 to 2024 will garner Mallory plenty of buzz. Justin Mitrovich Justin Mitrovich burst onto the CAA scene as a freshman in 2023 with a 7-4 mark in 14 appearances and 13 starts, posting a 3.68 ERA with 66 strikeouts along the way. He saw an increased workload in 2024, going from 63 ⅔ innings to 80, and his strikeouts jumped from 66 to 96. Mitrovich looks to continue to display similar dominance in his third season with the Phoenix, while also trimming his ERA from the 5.06 final tally he pitched in 2024. Ryan Sprock Two-way performer Ryan Sprock has shown plenty of promise at the plate and on the mound in two seasons at Elon. As a freshman in 2023, Sprock averaged nearly a strikeout for every inning pitched, mowing down 56 batters in 58 ⅓ over 14 starts. The right-hander struggled a bit in his 15 appearances (11 starts) a season ago, finishing with a 10.13 ERA, but he remained a reliable bat for the Phoenix offense with a .300 average, eight home runs, and 42 RBI. Cox shined in the 2023 Prospect League, slashing at .339/.527/.696 with 11 home runs for Champion City. If he finds that same kind of pop playing every day for Hofstra, look out. Carlos Martinez Hofstra’s top starter a season ago, Carlos Martinez was one of the most dominant in the CAA when it came to strikeouts. He fanned 95 batters in 78 ⅓ innings pitched en route to 1st Team All-CAA recognition. The 6-foot-2 righty heads into his junior season as the Pride’s established ace and a breakout candidate to be the league’s Pitcher of the Year. Dylan Palmer After garnering CAA All-Rookie and 2nd Team All-CAA honors as a freshman in 2023, Dylan Palmer was a 1st Team All-CAA selection in 2024. In 2025, don’t be surprised to see the multidimensional Palmer challenge for CAA Player of the Year. Palmer hit .369 in 179 at-bats as a freshman while stealing 23 bases. As a sophomore, he improved his already strong production to .386 in 241 at-bats with 27 steals once getting aboard. Matt Pelcher Matt Pelcher made limited appearances in his first two seasons at Hofstra, but the catcher broke out as a junior in 2024 with a .336 average in 155 at-bats and 30 runs driven in. Pelcher was also solid behind the plate with a .994 fielding average, 283 putouts and 26 assists in his first season as the Pride’s starter. Couture was Monmouth’s most consistent starter, maintaining a 3.98 ERA and 1.34 WHIP while striking out a team-leading 65 batters. He’ll look to build on a strong debut, heading into 2025 as an All-CAA potential pitcher. Wyatt Hunt Earning CAA All-Rookie recognition in part for his solid defensive presence on the infield, Wyatt Hunt heads into his sophomore season having shown his offensive potential in the Perfect Game Collegiate League. Playing for Utica, he drove in 19, drew 26 walks in 97 at-bats, and stole seven bases. Look for the summer to provide a springboard into an outstanding second year for the Hawk's promising youngster. Harry PaddenA leading offensive weapon for Monmouth in 2024, graduate senior Harry Padden will be a cornerstone for the Hawks’ efforts to break into the CAA’s top half in 2025. Padden hit .300 a season ago with five home runs and 26 runs driven in. He was also Monmouth’s most dangerous base-runner, and among the best in the conference, with 15 steals on 16 attempts. Head Coach: Ben Hall 2024 Record: 25-28 (9-17 CAA) Players to Watch Jason Campo First baseman and outfielder Jason Campo is a newcomer to North Carolina A&T, but no stranger to the CAA. Campo spent the previous two seasons at Stony Brook, including a promising 2023 in which he drove in eight runs in 32 at-bats. Campo joins the Aggies lineup after a summer spent with Mohawk Valley in the Perfect Game Collegiate League. He hit .267 and had a .431 on-base percentage in 15 games. Angel Ortiz Junior college transfer Angel Ortiz showed promising stuff in his debut season with A&T. The right-hander averaged nearly a strikeout per inning pitched, mowing down 47 in 49 ⅔. Ortiz operated primarily out of the bullpen but stepped into the starting lineup late in the season. Among his starts was a six-inning outing en route to the win over Northeastern. Enrique Wood In his first season transferring into A&T from the junior college level, Enrique Wood emerged as one of the Aggies' top base-stealers with 10 and a potential home-run hitter with five. If the promising Wood cuts down on strikeouts and improves his .223 batting average, he could be one of the top breakout candidates in the Coastal in 2025. Head Coach: Mike Glavine 2024 Record: 38-17 (18-9 CAA) Players to Watch Justin Bosland Those seeking a snapshot of the concept of “reloading, not rebuilding” need look no further than Justin Bosland. The rangy utilityman shined in a reserve capacity last season, batting .310 in 20 games and slugging .500 with 10 stolen bases. Bosland should get the opportunity to be a regular factor for a Huskies lineup replacing highly touted MLB prospect Mike Siorta and All-American Tyler MacGregor. Harrison Feinberg USC transfer Harrison Feinberg made a splash in his first season at NU, hitting nine home runs and slugging .507. The outfielder will look to establish himself as a power-hitting presence again in 2025. Jack Goodman Second-Team All-CAA shortstop and third baseman Jack Goodman was sensational in his first season with the Huskies. The Pepperdine transfer hit .320 and slugged .523 with eight home runs and 42 runs driven in. Goodman was also a terror on the base paths with 18 stolen bases. His multifaceted offensive game promises to set the foundation for the Huskies this season. Will Jones Six-foot-five Will Jones provides an imposing presence on the mound, manifested last season with his producing more than a strikeout (45) per innings pitched (41 ⅓). Jones came out of the bullpen primarily, though made a pair of starts in 2024. Whether as a reliever or in the starting rotation, Jones is an intriguing Husky to follow for the coming campaign. Alex LaneNortheastern’s top returning hitter from a season ago is Alex Lane, a big and powerful first baseman and outfielder. Lane batted .375 in 2024 with a whopping 1.159 OPS, a .685 slugging percentage, and 18 home runs to contribute to his team-high-tying 80 RBI. Lane figures to be at the forefront of the CAA Player of the Year chase. Paulsen hit .299 in 2024 with four home runs. Meanwhile, he held a 3.21 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 15 appearances on the mound, striking out 24 while walking just 10. Paulsen’s impressive play in both facets makes him a pillar of the Seawolves’ 2025 prospects. Nicholas Rizzo Nicholas Rizzo joined Erik Paulsen on the CAA All-Rookie Team, and the sophomore left-hander promises to be a top starting in the Seawolves pitching rotation. Rizzo made 11 starts and worked 62 ⅓ innings in 2024, during which he struck out 35. Cam SanterreStony Brook’s most adept hitter when it came to getting aboard, finishing 2024 with a team-best .459 on-base percentage, outfielder Cam Santerre made opponents pay on the base paths with 18 steals on 21 attempts. The graduate senior, who hit north of .350 in three seasons at Rhode Island College before transferring to Stony Brook, is someone to watch as a potential All-CAA player this season. Eddie Smink Building off a strong freshman season, Eddie Smink finished 2024 with a 3.11 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts over 11 starts. The right-handed starter heads into 2025 positioned to be Stony Brook’s Friday starter and is one of the more tested aces in the conference. Jordan Peyton With team-highs of six home runs, 41 RBI,, returning highs of .336 batting average and .481 slugging percentage, and matching Cole Stefano’s team-best eight stolen bases, Jordan Peyton is central to the Towson offense. Peyton spent the summer with Bristol of the New England Collegiate League, where he stole 12 bases in 39 games. Taye Robinson CAA All-Rookie selection Taye Robinson ranks among the most intriguing breakout candidates in the entire Coastal for 2025. Robinson opens the season carrying over a seven-game hitting streak, which helped elevate his season batting average to .310. Robinson swiped seven bases on eight attempts, making opponents pay for putting him on base – which he did more effectively than any other Tiger, closing out his freshman campaign with a .422 on-base percentage. DeMartino hit .288 with eight home runs and drove in 39, all while getting on base at a .409 pace. His 30-game on-base streak in 2024 ranks in the program’s top-10 all-time. With Trevor Marsh and Jac Croom gone, look for DeMartino to potentially be the second bat that thrives before or after Tanner Thach in the Seahawks lineup. Aiden EvansAiden Evans closed out his 2024 on a high note, garnering All-Tournament honors as he helped UNCW to the NCAA Tournament. Evans carries that momentum into 2025. Evans hit .291 in 2024 and, in drawing 32 walks, produced the second-best on-base percentage (.411) among the Seahawks' every-day players. Zane Taylor With RJ Sales and Jacob Shafer gone, Zae Taylor returns as UNCW’s most proven starter – and he’s a proven winner. Taylor went 5-1 across 14 starts in 2024 with a 3.99 ERA. He struck out 56 batters in a little more than 58 innings of work, all while limiting opposing batters to a .236 average. Tanner Thach Not just the top MLB prospect in the CAA in 2025, but one of the most highly touted 2025 draft prospects in all of college baseball, Tanner Thach is a true game-changer. Thach hit .324 a season ago, maintaining consistency while also swinging one of the nation’s most powerful bats. Thach hit 27 home runs, accounting for a huge chunk of his 75 RBI. Both were team-highs. Thach was also nearly perfect on defense with a .998 fielding percentage. Henry Jackson One of two Tribe batters back for 2025 who hit north of .300 in 2024, Henry Jackson delivered a .301 average in 163 at-bats. The veteran utilityman also swiped eight bases on eight steal attempts and converted 11 double plays. Carter Lovasz One of college baseball’s best relievers, righty Carter Lovasz was an All-CAA selection in 2024 with his 3.12 ERA, 57 strikeouts and .219 opponent batting average. Lovasz also posted a pair of sub-3.00 ERA seasons primarily coming out of the bullpen in 2022 and 2023. Ben ParkerWilliam & Mary’s leading hitter in 2024 by a variety of metrics was Ben Parker, an outfielder from Southern California. The veteran Parker hit .335 in 218 at-bats last season with 10 home runs, 48 RBI, a .573 slugging percentage and team-best 1.045 OPS. Parker’s 16 stolen bases are also the most among returning Tribe players. Zack Potts Behind Tampa Bay Rays draftee Nate Knowles, Zack Potts was William & Mary’s most productive starting pitcher in 2024. Potts worked 70 ⅓ innings, during which he maintained a 3.84 ERA with 61 strikeouts, a .255 opponent batting average, and an impressive 1.19 WHIP. Nicholas Rizzo joined Erik Paulsen on the CAA All-Rookie Team, and the sophomore left-hander promises to be a top starting in the Seawolves pitching rotation. Head Coach: Mike Kennedy 2024 Record: 15-39 (5-20 CAA) Evans hit .291 in 2024 and, in drawing 32 walks, produced the second-best on-base percentage (.411) among the Seahawks’ every-day players. Hofstra’s top starter a season ago, Carlos Martinez was one of the most dominant in the CAA when it came to strikeouts. He fanned 95 batters in 78 ⅓ innings pitched en route to 1st Team All-CAA recognition. Tanner Thach Carter Lovasz With RJ Sales and Jacob Shafer gone, Zae Taylor returns as UNCW’s most proven starter – and he’s a proven winner. Taylor went 5-1 across 14 starts in 2024 with a 3.99 ERA. He struck out 56 batters in a little more than 58 innings of work, all while limiting opposing batters to a .236 average. First baseman and outfielder Jason Campo is a newcomer to North Carolina A&T, but no stranger to the CAA. Campo spent the previous two seasons at Stony Brook, including a promising 2023 in which he drove in eight runs in 32 at-bats. Head Coach: Greg Mamula Rizzo made 11 starts and worked 62 ⅓ innings in 2024, during which he struck out 35. Coastal Athletic Association baseball enjoyed a remarkable 2024, culminating in the league’s record 10 alumni being selected in the first 10 rounds of the MLB. Headlined by Charleston’s Cole Mathis being tabbed at No. 54 by the Chicago Cubs, the MLB draft spotlighted the depth of talent in the CAA.Heckelman’s .426 slugging percentage is second-best among returning Tigers. . He’ll look to build on a strong debut, heading into 2025 as an All-CAA potential pitcher. West Virginia transfer Tyler Cox should get an opportunity to make an impact with more appearances upon his arrival to Hofstra. Cox spent three seasons in Morgantown, culminating last season in his batting .250 with a .429 on-base percentage. Veteran outfielder Charlie Granatell has been an invaluable part of the Elon batting order throughout his time in the program. Contributing immediately as a freshman in 2022, his production has climbed each season, culminating in 2024 with career-bests in batting average (.326); slugging percentage (.505); OPS (.915); home runs (7); and RBI (38).

Mitrovich looks to continue to display similar dominance in his third season with the Phoenix, while also trimming his ERA from the 5.06 final tally he pitched in 2024. Building off a strong freshman season, Eddie Smink finished 2024 with a 3.11 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts over 11 starts. The right-handed starter heads into 2025 positioned to be Stony Brook’s Friday starter and is one of the more tested aces in the conference. Games to Watch Head Coach: Ben Hall Look for the summer to provide a springboard into an outstanding second year for the Hawk’s promising youngster. Wyatt Hunt Those seeking a snapshot of the concept of “reloading, not rebuilding” need look no further than Justin Bosland. The rangy utilityman shined in a reserve capacity last season, batting .310 in 20 games and slugging .500 with 10 stolen bases. Head Coach: Mike Glavine Thompson figures to be a cornerstone for Campbell’s conference title pursuits in 2025, and he’s a player to watch in pursuit of the Coastal’s Player of the Year honors at season’s end.Cox shined in the 2023 Prospect League, slashing at .339/.527/.696 with 11 home runs for Champion City. If he finds that same kind of pop playing every day for Hofstra, look out. 2023 CAA All-Rookie honoree Alec DeMartino followed up his impressive freshman season with a solid sophomore campaign. DeMartino hit .288 with eight home runs and drove in 39, all while getting on base at a .409 pace. A leading offensive weapon for Monmouth in 2024, graduate senior Harry Padden will be a cornerstone for the Hawks’ efforts to break into the CAA’s top half in 2025. Padden hit .300 a season ago with five home runs and 26 runs driven in. He was also Monmouth’s most dangerous base-runner, and among the best in the conference, with 15 steals on 16 attempts.
