Cade Klubnik, Nussmeier, Allar and Top QB Player Ratings for EA College Football 26

Ahead of next week’s release of the College Football 26 video game, EA Sports released the list of the five highest-rated quarterbacks in the game Tuesday.

Clemson’s Cade Klubnik, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier and Penn State’s Drew Allar are tied for the top spot at 92 overall, followed by Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers at 91 overall:

Klubnik, Allar and Leavitt all led their teams to the College Football Playoff last season, while Nussmeier and Sellers both excelled in their first full seasons as starters.

After showing some flashes as the starter in 2023, Klubnik took his game to the next level last season as a junior.

The Clemson star completed 63.4 percent of his passes for 3,639 yards, 36 touchdowns and six interceptions, while also rushing for 463 yards and seven scores for a Tigers team that upset SMU to win the ACC Championship Game.

At 6’5″ and 235 pounds with a rocket arm and mobility, Allar has everything teams look for in a prototypical quarterback.

Allar was asked to do much more in his second season as a starter in 2024, and he was up to the task, as he completed 66.5 percent of his passing attempts for 3,327 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions, and also rushed for 302 yards and six scores.

With Allar under center, the Nittany Lions went all the way to the CFP semifinals, and they enter 2025 as legitimate national title contenders.

After transferring from Michigan State to Arizona State, Leavitt helped lead the Sun Devils to their best season since 1996.

ASU went 11-3, won the Big 12 and reached the CFP, and Leavitt was a big reason why, as he completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 2,885 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions, while rushing for 443 yards and five touchdowns en route to being named Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year.

After waiting his turn for three seasons, Nussmeier acquitted himself well in 2024 as the replacement for Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The Tigers fell short of the CFP, but they went a solid 9-4, and Nussmeier completed 64.2 percent of his passing attempts for 4,052 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 picks.

Thanks to his dual-threat ability, Sellers may have a higher ceiling than any other quarterback in college football this coming season.

As a red-shirt freshman last season, he led the Gamecocks to a 9-4 record and completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 2,534 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions to go along with 674 yards and seven scores on the ground.

Arguably, the most surprising omission from the top-five quarterbacks in College Football 26 may be Texas’ Arch Manning.

The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning will have the Longhorns’ starting quarterback job all to himself this season after sitting behind Quinn Ewers for the past two years.

Manning was the No. 1 recruit in the nation in 2023, and he was excellent in limited opportunities last season, completing 67.8 percent of his passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns and two picks, and rushing for 108 yards and four touchdowns.

While he has yet to prove himself as the starter over the course of a full season, Manning has the skills to rise to the top of the College Football 26 quarterback ratings at some point during the 2025 campaign.

College Football 26 is set for a worldwide release on July 10, but those who purchase the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle can start playing three days early on July 7.
