Catholic Charities starts renovation project in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, announced it is starting a renovation project to address the needs of the Bishop William M. Cosgrove Center.

  • The renovations are expected to be done before the holidays

The project, slated to begin on Oct. 3, will temporarily pause services at the center.

The renovation will upgrade bathroom facilities, expand the entry and hallways, add accessibility features and update metal detectors.

“This project is an important investment in the future of the Bishop Cosgrove Center,” said Jim Mullen, president & CEO of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. “While we recognize the inconvenience this temporary pause may cause, these improvements will allow us to reopen stronger, safer and better equipped to serve our community for years to come.”

Diocese leadership expects to finish the renovations before the holiday season.

The Cosgrove Center provides essential services to those in need, including access to clothing, hygiene items, food, hot showers, birth certificates and identification cards and financial assistance.
