Central’s Laidlaw and Koritz tabbed for triathlon all-region
PELLA — A pair of Central College triathletes earned Division III All-West Region selection from the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association based on their finish at last weekend’s regional qualifier.
Senior Luci Laidlaw (Pella) and sophomore Adeline Koritz (Clinton, Ill.) were third and fourth, respectively, amongst the Division III athletes at the West Regional Qualifier in Fort Worth, Texas. The top-seven athletes at each of level NCAA competition were recognized.
Laidlaw completed the sprint triathlon course in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 22 seconds, finishing 53rd overall. Koritz crossed the line in 1:15.48 to take 59th overall.
Central is headed to Tempe, Arizona for the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships on November 8.
