As the calendar rolls into mid-March, the FIS World Championships are being held in Switzerland.
March 20, 2025: Men’s and women’s snowboard parallel giant slalom finals, men’s and women’s slopestyle qualifications.March 29, 2025: Women’s snowboard halfpipe final, snowboard cross team mixed final, men’s snowboard halfpipe final.“There’s a (geoblocked) livestream available on the Freestyle Moritz website if you want to download one of those three letter things (an online VPN) to watch,” the U.S. Snowboard team’s Instagram page said.The women’s slopestyle roster features Lily Dhawornvej, Rebecca Flynn, Julia Marino, and Hahna Norman. The men’s will have Red Gerard, Sean FitzSimons, Dusty Henricksen, and Ollie Martin.March 22, 2025: Men’s and women’s snowboard parallel slalomMarch 23, 2025: Women’s snowboard slopestyle final, men’s snowboard slopestyle final, snowboard parallel slalom mixed team final.Things will kick off on Thursday, March 20, 2025, with the men’s and women’s snowboard parallel giant slalom finals and men’s and women’s slopestyle qualifications. For the halfpipe, the U.S. women’s team features Sonora Alba, Chloe Kim, Maddie Mastro, and Maddy Schaffrick. The men’s halfpipe riders include Alessandro Barbieri, Lucas Foster, Chase Josey, and Jason Wolle.A different type of March Madness.The women’s snowboard cross team will have Virginia Boyd, Acy Craig, Bri Schnorrbusch, and Madeline, Lochte Bono racing. The men’s team is comprised of Nick Baumgartner, Nathan Pare, Jake Vedder, and Cody Winters.
