MADISON, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women’s gymnastics’ Delaney Cienkus and Titan women’s basketball’s Kayce Vaile both earned WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week honors for their performances during the week of Jan. 6-12.In UW-Oshkosh’s wins over UW-Eau Claire and UW-Platteville during the week, Vaile (Fifth • Greendale) averaged 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, shooting 64.5 percent from the field (11-of-17) and 70 percent (7-of-10) from the line. She went 5-of-8 from the field and 3-of-3 from the line with four rebounds and two steals in a 67-53 victory over the Blugolds on Jan. 8, and 6-of-9 from the field and 4-of-7 with 10 rebounds and a block in a 60-44 triumph over the Pioneers on Jan. 11.Cienkus (Sr. • Plainfield, Ill.) took first in two events as the Titans scored 194.150 points against Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in their home opener on Jan. 10. UW-Oshkosh’s team score was the second highest in program history and a home meet record. Cienkus won the balance beam outright and tied with fellow Titan Jay Ratkowski for first in the floor exercise, scoring 9.825 points on both events.
