A youth baseball team from Illinois is headed back to the 2025 Little League World Series.

The team from Clarendon Hills, Illinois, won the Great Lakes region on Thursday night and is headed to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, beginning on Aug. 13 to take part in the annual youth sports tradition broadcast nationally by ESPN.

In 2024, the Little League team from Hinsdale won the Great Lakes region and played in the LLWS.

The team from Clarendon Hills, a western suburb of Chicago, defeated a team from Ohio 9-4 on Thursday night to secure one of 10 spots in the U.S. portion of the bracket. Illinois scored twice in the opening inning, pulled away with four more runs in the fourth inning, and then added three in the ninth to lead 9-0.

The rest of the U.S. sports are up for grabs during championship games this weekend. Ten international teams already have clinched a trip to Williamsport in 2025.
