WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest Athletics and head coach Jake Dickert have announced five hires on football’s strength and conditioning staff, led by Ben Iannacchione.
“I am thrilled to announce our exceptional strength and conditioning staff, led by Ben Iannacchione, whose experience and leadership are second to none,” Coach Dickert said. “Ben and I share a vision for how to develop and prepare our players for success both on and off the field. He and his staff’s familiarity with our program’s standards and their dedication to the physical and mental growth of our student-athletes will have a tremendous impact on Wake Forest Football. Together, they bring unmatched energy and expertise to elevate our culture and performance as we compete in the ACC.”

Ben Iannacchione, Director of Strength and Conditioning
Ben Iannacchione will oversee the Wake Forest Football Strength & Conditioning program, having been named Director of Strength & Conditioning in January 2025. Iannacchoine served as Washington State University’s Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach for the past three seasons. Additionally, Iannacchione worked with Coach Dickert on Craig Bohl’s staff at Wyoming during the 2018-19 seasons.
Iannacchione came to Pullman having spent the 2022 season as the head strength and conditioning coach at Akron on Joe Moorhead’s staff. A former standout offensive lineman who played collegiately at Boise State, Iannacchione arrived at Akron after spending the 2021 campaign on the Pitt football strength and conditioning staff.
Iannacchione returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh with impressive coaching credentials having previously served as the director of sports performance for the football programs at Kansas (2020) and Wyoming (2018-19). Iannacchione was the associate strength and conditioning coach at LSU (2016-17), where he had oversight of the Tigers’ running backs, fullbacks, tight ends, and linebackers.
Iannacchione worked at LSU for four years from 2011-15 before returning in 2016. After a one-year intern stint in Baton Rouge, Iannacchione was elevated to full time assistant strength coach in 2012, overseeing the training of the Tigers’ offensive line. Additionally, he was the lead strength coach for the men’s and women’s swimming teams.
During his time at LSU, Iannacchione was an instrumental figure for six bowl teams, including the 2011 SEC Championship team that advanced to the BCS National Championship Game.
In 2015, he was the head strength and conditioning coach at Youngstown State, where he worked primarily with the football program.
A first-team All-Quad East performer at Baldwin High School, Iannacchione played collegiately at Boise State, lettering twice on the offensive front. Over his four-year career (2005-08), the Broncos compiled a 44-8 record, including three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) titles and three bowl games. The 2006 team went 13-0 and earned a No. 5 final national ranking after beating Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.
Iannacchione graduated from Boise State in 2008, earning a bachelor’s degree in communications. He then earned a master’s degree in kinesiology from LSU in 2012.
He and his wife, Renee, have three children: daughter Luciana and sons Salvatore and Sonny.
Jefferson Beckett, Associate Director, Strength and Conditioning
Jefferson Beckett joined Iannacchione’s staff at Wake Forest in Jan. 2025 after spending the last three years (2022-24) working for him and Coach Jake Dickert at Washington State.
Beckett arrived in Pullman after spending the previous year in a similar capacity at Florida Atlantic. From 2019-20, he served as a graduate assistant at the University of South Carolina, where he was responsible for the day-to-day accountability of the players, Catapult analytics and assisted with daily weight room training sessions and on-field sprinting and conditioning sessions.
Beckett has spent time as a strength and conditioning coach at Tennessee Martin at Middle Tennessee State after beginning his coaching career as an intern at South Carolina.
Beckett played three seasons of Rugby at Coastal Carolina, earning 2015 NCAA Division II honorable mention honors. He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science in 2016 and his master’s in family and consumer science from Tennessee Martin in 2020.
Tristan White, Assistant Director, Strength and Conditioning
Tristan White joined Iannacchione’s staff at Wake Forest in Jan. 2025 after spending the last season (2024) working for him and Coach Jake Dickert at Washington State.
Prior to his lone year in Pullman, White spent three years (2021-23) with the football program at Montana State, where he began as a graduate assistant for the first two years before moving into a full-time role as the Assistant Director of Football Strength and Conditioning in January of 2022.
White began in the field at the University of Wyoming football programs in 2019 as an intern while finishing up his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. He also holds a Master’s of Health Science in Community Health from Montana State.
Tarik Muse, Assistant Director, Strength and Conditioning
Tarik Muse came to Winston-Salem in Feb. 2022 as the Deacs Football Sports Performance Coordinator and is set to enter his fourth season with the football program and was retained to work on Ben Iannacchione’s staff as an Assistant Director, Strength & Conditioning in Jan. 2025.
Prior to coming to Wake Forest, Muse spent two seasons (2020-21) at Kansas as the Jayhawks Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach. From internships to other positions, Muse has worked at Mercer, Youngstown State, NC State, Duke and Akron.
With that, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Muse is a 2019 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science. He earned his master’s in Higher Educational Leadership from Mercer in 2020.
David Terrebone, Data Analyst, Strength and Conditioning
David Terrebonne joined the Wake Forest Strength & Conditioning staff in Jan. 2025 following a successful tenure with Washington State in a similar role. Prior to joining the Washington State University staff, Terrebonne served as personal training counselor in Pasadena, Texas. He was also the director of sports performance for RedLine Athletics Webster, a speed and agility training center in Webster, Texas.
Additionally, Terrebonne has completed strength and conditioning internships for Texas Tech football and La Porte High School.
Terrebonne received his bachelor’s degree in health human performance (strength and conditioning) from Henderson State University, where he was a member of the football team. In 2019 he served as team captain, served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and was a representative for the university at the NCAA APPLE Conference, an annual three-day national training institute for student-athletes, athletics administrators and campus partners dedicated to substance abuse prevention and health promotion of college athletes.
