Overseeing the daily medical care for the softball team, Seiler is responsible for on-site emergency medical procedures, injury assessments, and both non-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation initiatives. He also arranges student-athletes’ medical appointments and facilitates communication between doctors, coaches, players, and their families to provide the best possible health care.
Alongside his responsibilities with the softball program, Seiler contributes as an instructor in the Athletic Training Education Program. In his educational role, he teaches evaluation techniques for upper and lower extremities and oversees the Clinical Proficiency Lab within the program. Seiler has collaborated with colleagues to create an educational in-service program for graduate assistant athletic trainers and aids in teaching graduate-level courses on structural diagnosis, clinical evaluation, and manual therapy.
Seiler earned his bachelor’s of science degree from Central Michigan University in 2003. Following his graduation, he worked at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, and held the position of head athletic trainer at Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville, NC from January 2004 to August 2006.
