BATON ROUGE – University of Washington transfer Emily Innes is set to join the LSU Gymnastics team for the 2026 season, announced by the program on Wednesday.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Innes spent her first three seasons at Washington prior to signing with LSU.

She will enter her senior year with the Tigers, adding depth to the vault, beam and floor lineups next season.

“I am incredibly grateful to be at LSU for my senior year. Throughout my transfer process, it was important for me to find a program where I felt challenged and inspired. LSU offers all of that and more,” said Innes.

“LSU stood out to me because of the amazing coaching staff, sense of family, and passion. Being a part of a team that consistently competes at the highest level excites me and I look forward to competing against some of the best teams in the nation and contributing to this program’s legacy of excellence.

“I am ready to grow, compete, and give everything I have in this next chapter as a Tiger!”

She was pivotal on three events for the Huskies during her career at Washington.

As a junior, she became a NCAA Regional Floor Champion after notching a career-high 9.950 score on the event at the 2024 Berkeley Regional.

Innes has seen success in the classroom as well, being a member of the 2025 All-Academic Team and Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.

On the competition floor, she owns career highs of 9.875 on vault, 9.900 on beam and 9.950 on floor.

President Trump’s NIL commission reportedly on pause for now

Since President Donald Trump spoke at the University of Alabama’s commencement ceremony earlier this month, speculation has swirled about his potential executive action to reshape college sports. Since President Donald Trump spoke at the University of Alabama’s commencement ceremony earlier this month, speculation has swirled about his potential executive action to reshape college sports.

The centerpiece of that speculation was a proposed presidential commission on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) reform — a panel Trump was expected to create via executive order, with former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban rumored to be a central figure.

However, that plan is now reportedly on hold.

According to new reporting from Pete Nakos of On3 and Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports—who first broke news of the commission—Trump’s NIL commission has been paused, at least for now.

“Expectation is commission will eventually be formed,” Nakos wrote Thursday, “but is being delayed as U.S. Senator Ted Cruz works to push through federal legislation.”

The pause also comes amid an impending legal settlement in the House that could dramatically alter the future of NIL in college athletics.

That settlement could determine whether student-athletes are legally deemed employees and entitled to a share of the revenue they help generate — effectively professionalizing college sports.

With that uncertainty in play, Trump appears to be giving lawmakers and the courts time to act before launching any executive initiative.

Saban has subtly downplayed the idea of needing a formal commission. Appearing last week at the Regions Tradition golf tournament in Birmingham, he surprised some by distancing himself from the rumored role.

“I know there’s been a lot of stuff out there about some commission or whatever. I don’t think we need a commission. I’ve said that before,” Saban said. “I think we know what the issues are, we just have to have people who are willing to move those and solve those and create some solutions for some of those issues.”

Speaking Tuesday at a Nick’s Kids charity golf tournament, Saban clarified that while he doesn’t see a commission as fundamentally necessary, he remains open to helping however he can.

“I’m all for being a consultant to anybody who would think that my experience would be beneficial to helping create some of those solutions,” he said.

“I know President Trump is very interested in athletics. He’s very interested in college athletics. He’s very interested in maintaining the idea that people go to college to create value for the future in terms of how they develop as people, students, graduation rate, as well as having a balanced, competitive playing field,” Saban said. “If I can be a consultant to anyone who might be able to help the future of college athletics, I would be more than happy to do that.”

Where to watch 'The Fall of Diddy' documentary

Hip Hop was king in the Nineties and Noughties, with some of the most infamous albums of the rap genre emerging during this time from the likes of Biggie Smalls and Jay-Z to Mary J Blige and Usher. But, if you flip any of those album covers over, the likelihood is you’ll see the same name over and over again – Sean Combs (aka Diddy), a rapper and music producer who generated countless hip-hop hits under his Bad Boy Records label, which he founded in 1993.

Now though, the man who once ruled the music industry finds himself behind bars awaiting trial, accused of sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution and racketeering conspiracy.

The documentary – essential watching in light of the first day of his abuse trial – maps out his ascension to power and the allegations of violence and abuse that were kept quiet for years. The Fall of Diddy is a five-part documentary and comes from the same producers as Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV – a documentary series that went viral last year for exposing child abuse allegations from Nickelodeon TV sets in the 90s and early 00s.

The Diddy documentary, which is available to stream right now, includes testimonies of alleged victims and those who have worked closely with the rapper over the years, including his personal assistant. The series also shows and investigates security footage of Combs physically abusing his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, whose lawsuit against the mogul led to his ultimate arrest in September 2024.

To catch the full story of Diddy’s rise to power and the details of his alleged crimes, here’s how to stream the entire series now.

Where to watch ‘The Fall of Diddy’ in the UK?

The documentary series began streaming in the UK on 28 January, releasing all five episodes immediately onto Discovery+.

Discovery+ is an American streaming service that UK audiences can access by attaching it to an existing Amazon account for £3.99 per month or £39.99 annually. Included in your Discovery+ subscription you will also have access to live channels, including Animal Planet, Discovery, Discovery History, Discovery Science, DMAX, Food Network, HGTV, Quest, Quest Red, TLC, Turbo and ID.

Watch the trailer for ‘The Fall of Diddy’:

The documentary can be watched through Discovery+ in the UK, where a description of the documentary reads: “Pull back the curtain on music mogul Sean Combs, and the allegations of violence and abuse kept quiet for years. This chilling chronicle redefines the music mogul and business titan everyone thinks they know.” Many of the interviews featured are from those who claim to have experienced the violence and manipulation of Diddy firsthand, including rappers and singers within the music industry and former employees of his record label.
