Corey Heim earned his first Richmond victory

Corey Heim, from pole to Victory Lane, takes his first Richmond win after drama late in Stage 2.

Heim and Ty Majeski led the field to green, and Heim got away with the lead as some drivers went three- and four-wide into Turn 1.

Daniel Hemric went backwards, falling from 10th out of the top 30 by Lap 5.

Giovanni Ruggiero up 13 spots by Lap 10 after starting at the rear for repairs after practice.

On Lap 12, Hemric’s front tyre went down as sparks flowed out the back of his truck. He makes it to pit road before going behind the wall.

By Lap 14, Heim reached the backmarkers as Majeski closed in. 

Majeski swept around the outside of Heim on Lap 19 to take the lead.

Fun fact, these are the first laps Majeski has led since Texas in May, 10 races ago.

Sammy Smith was on a charge and passed Matt Crafton and Grant Enfinger to get up to fourth on Laps 34 and 38.

On Lap 48, Layne Riggs passed Heim for second in Turn 2.

Majeski sailed on to win the stage.

With Kaden Honeycutt’s sixth-place stage finish, he clinched a playoff spot.

All lead lap trucks pit. Majeski and Heim got off pit road first.

Ben Rhodes missed his pit stall and had to go back around to pit on Lap 76.

Patrick Staropoli and Spencer Boyd were penalized for speeding on pit road and having the crew over the wall too soon, respectively.

Heim took the lead on the restart on Lap 82, pulling the same move as he did in the beginning.

The first caution for an incident came out on Lap 89 after Luke Fenhaus and Spencer Boyd spun in Turn 2 while battling for 24th.

Chandler Smith and Rhodes opt to pit under caution from 10th and 19th for fresh tyres.

Heim and Majeski lead the way again on Lap 97. Heim, once again, cleared Majeski for the lead as Rhodes surged up to fourth.

On Lap 103, Majeski retook the lead into Turn 1.

Another caution is thrown with 32 laps to go in the stage as Dawson Sutton hit the wall at the entrance to pit road.

Majeski is one of the drivers who opt to pit along with Honeycutt, Jake Garcia, Eckes, Enfinger and Tyler Ankrum. Majeski got off pit road first and restarted 8th.

Heim and Riggs led the way on lap 118, and Heim got away as they went four wide behind him. Rhodes made it up to second, and he challenged for the lead.

Majeski challenged C. Smith for third on Lap 120 and took the place one lap later. On the same lap, Majeski got by teammate Rhodes. Another lap later, Majeski retook the lead from Heim.

On Lap 124, C. Smith, Honeycutt and Eckes battled three-wide or the entire lap with nobody giving ground.

Garcia momentarily had second place from Heim on Lap 135, but Heim repassed him one corner later. Garcia completed the move on Lap 137.

The lead trucks pit under the stage caution.

Majeski takes the inside on this restart, and Heim goes to the outside for the restart on Lap 152.

Honeycutt challenged for the lead, making it three wide, but Heim rolled around the outside.

Andrés Pérez spun towards the back, but was able to get rolling as the race staged green.

Majeski came back on Lap 156 and cleared Heim for the lead off Turn 2.

With 58 laps to go, drivers started their green-flag pit stops. Heim and Riggs pit from second and third on Lap 194. 

On Lap 200, Crafton lost the nose of his truck and hit the side of Majeski. Boyd was also involved in the incident as S. Smith took the lead. Majeski was able to stay out of the wall and only lost one place on the track, but pitted on Lap 208.

Off pit road, S. Smith came off first, followed by Majeski. 

S. Smith and Majeski lead the way on Lap 216, and Majeski was bumped a little. Corey LaJoie got up to the front for a second before settling back in fourth and Majeski fell to fifth. S. Smith stayed in the lead.

Teammates Ruggiero and Heim battled back and forth for second place, staying door to door through a few laps until Heim cleared on Lap 223.

Heim caught up to he leader on Lap 230, and swept around the outside of S. Smith to take the lead one lap later.

S. Smith continued falling back as Majeski and Riggs got passed him on Lap 234.

Majeski tried to reel Heim in, but it was Heim Time for the seventh time this season!

The Craftsman Truck Series heads into the first round of the playoffs.

There will be seven races making up three rounds: the Round of 10, the Round of 8, and the Round of 4. In the Round of 10, two drivers with the lowest playoff points will be dropped. If a driver in the playoffs wins, they are locked in for the next round.

Be there, or be square for Race 1 of the Round of 10 on Saturday, August 30, at 11:00 EST (16:00 BST) at Darlington Raceway.
