The pair’s win is in the top 50 of all time for mixed doubles, with the fastest time in Hyrox history set at 50:58 by Alexander Roncevic and Alice Shürer in April this year.

With more CrossFit victories under her belt than any other athlete in the history of the sport, Toomey-Orr’s Hyrox participation has been anticipated since she won strength competition Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen in November. In her thank-you Instagram post, the mother and author hinted at her upcoming Hyrox appearance: ‘Now off to try some @hyroxworld‘.

Fellow athletes Jay Crouch and Maddie Sturt from PRVN Fitness – the online training platform co-founded by Toomey-Orr and husband, Shane – also took part, while 8x CrossFit Games athlete Hayley Adams paired up with Andy Mathers, crossing the finish line in 1:00:54.
