A Connecticut-based company that runs youth- and community-focused esports programs says it has acquired another in-state gaming academy.

Newtown-based Affinity Esports Group said it has acquired Wilton’s CT Esports Academy and expanded its partnership with the Riverbrook Regional YMCA in Wilton.

Affinity Esports Group, founded in 2021, operates studios in Newtown, Milford and now Wilton, partnering with schools, recreation departments and nonprofits to offer after-school clubs, competitive gaming teams, coaching and game nights.

The CT Esports Academy is an esports education and community center based in Wilton, at 404 Danbury Road. It partnered with the Riverbrook Regional YMCA to provide in‑person esports programs.

Affinity said the deal allows it to further expand its presence in Fairfield County.
