COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field’s Kristi Perez-Snyman and Valentina Barrios have been named to the All-Southeastern Conference First Team and Second Team, respectively, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Perez-Snyman earns the ninth Women’s Outdoor All-SEC First Team recognition in program history and the second in as many years after Euphenie Andre did so in 2024. Barrios is the third Tiger to earn a spot on the Women’s Outdoor All-SEC Second Team.

The two earned their spots after standout performances at the 2025 SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 15-17 in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Perez-Snyman took gold in high jump, posting a school-record mark of 1.90m (6-2.75) to become the first women’s student-athlete in Missouri history to claim the event. She is the 13th Tiger to win an individual SEC title. The Cape Town, Western South Africa native sits atop the conference in the event and ranks third in the country. 

Barrios snagged a silver medal in javelin with a program-best throw of 58.20m (190-11) to highlight the first day of the meet for Mizzou. She leads the No. 3 women’s javelin squad in the country, ranking fifth nationally and third in the SEC in the event.

Missouri track and field now sets its sights on the NCAA Outdoor Regional Championships, which begin on Wednesday, May 28, at E.B. Cushing Stadium in College Station, Texas. This marks the third meet the Tigers’ track & field program will compete at Texas A&M in 2025.

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State volleyball team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. The Jackrabbits’ slate features two home weekends during the non-conference season and 13 total matches at First Bank & Trust Arena.

SDSU is scheduled to take on six teams that appeared in the NCAA Tournament a season ago, five of which come in the non-conference.

The Jackrabbits open the year with an exhibition match against Augustana August 22 at First Bank & Trust Arena. The team then hits the road to take on Illinois and Northern Iowa, both 2024 NCAA Tournament teams, at the Northern Iowa Tournament August 29-30 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

SDSU will host the Jackrabbit Invitational presented by Canine Country Club September 5-7 (Friday-Sunday) at First Bank & Trust Arena. The Jacks take on Ole Miss, an NCAA qualifier in 2024, in the Friday night match, then Wyoming on Sunday. Ole Miss and Wyoming will square off on Saturday afternoon.

Minnesota hosts the Diet Coke Classic September 12-14 (Friday-Sunday) in Minneapolis. The Jackrabbits will play Dayton Friday, South Florida Saturday and Minnesota Sunday. Dayton and Minnesota both went to the NCAA Tournament last season.

The non-conference portion of the Jacks’ schedule wraps up with a pair of home matches against Boise State September 19 and 20 at First Bank & Trust Arena.

The Jackrabbits begin conference play on the road at Denver October 2. Notable home Summit League matches include longtime rival North Dakota State October 16 and in-state foe South Dakota November 1.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Five Texas track and field student-athletes have been named to the All-SEC Outdoor Track and Field teams on Tuesday, the conference announced. 

The Longhorns saw Akala Garrett, Nina Ndubuisi and Kendrick Smallwood all earn All-SEC First Team honors after winning an individual SEC title over the weekend. Ndubuisi made Texas history becoming the first-ever Longhorn to win an SEC title in track and field after throwing a personal best mark of 18.91m (62-0.50). The throw also took down a 25-year program record. 

Smallwood later became the first male to win an SEC track title for Texas after winning the 110-meter hurdles in a new personal best time of 13.13. The time broke his previous Texas record he set the day before of 13.25. The junior now holds the five fastest times in school history. 

Garrett claimed the women’s 400-meter hurdles title with a time of 54.84 – the 8^th fastest time in school history. She now has back-to-back conference titles after winning the Big 12 title her freshman season. 

Kody Blackwood earned All-SEC Second Team honors after finishing as the runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles. He broke his previous best time by .01 second (48.78) and is the third fastest to run the 400mH at UT. 

Elizabeth Stockman was the final Longhorn to earn All-SEC honors earning Third Team recognition after winning the bronze medal in the women’s 1500-meter. Stockman used a powerful 200-meter kick to secure third place with her time of 4:20.88.
