CUNYAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete of the Week
Jahiem Johnson – Medgar EversNicolas compiled 3,572 points in the heptathlon and the Bucknell Bison Open & Multi to set an MEC school record. He posted a 9.90 conference-qualifying mark in the 60 meter hurdles, a 5.62 in the long jump and a 7.82 in the 60-meter dash. Nicolas’ pole vault clearance of 3.28 meters is currently first in the conference, while his 1.62 meter high jump is third.

Reco Griffith – Medgar Evers
Griffith claimed Rookie of the Week for the third straight week. At the Bison Open and Multi, he placed second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02 seconds, and finished 12th in the 200 with a converted time of 22.41. He was also a member of the 4×400 relay that placed seventh in a school-record time of 3:31.90. At the DeSchriver Invitational, Griffith placed eighth in the 55 (6.83) and eighth in the 400 (converted 54.88).Johnson posted a time of 7.23 seconds in the 60 meter dash at the Bison Open and Multi Friday. He also competed in the 200, posting a time of 22.85 seconds (22.45 converted) and set an MEC school record in the 500 (1:09.13, 1:08.07 converted). He was also a member of the 4×400 relay that placed seventh wth a school-record time of 3:31.90. At the DeSchriver Invitational Saturday, he placed fourth in the 55-meter dash (6.70 seconds) and was sixth in the 400 (converted 52.17). Chrisnel Nicolas – Medar EversMelvil Badier – Hunter
Badier placed fourth in the men’s 800 meter run at the DeSchriver Invitational with a time of of 2:09.74, currently tops in the conference. He also anchored the DMR with a mile time of 4:47 as the Hunter DMR squad posted the top time in the conference (11:41.38).

Jonathan Cauchi – Hunter
Cauchi threw 11.82 meters in the shot put at the DeSchriver Invitational Saturday, currently the No. 2 mark in the conference. He also posted a mark of 10.46 meters in the weight throw, the No. 4 toss on the CUNYAC performance list.
