NEW YORK – The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) has announced its All-Star awards and team for the 2025 women’s outdoor track & field season.
 
Medgar Evers’ Toshel Goffe was voted as the Track Athlete of the Year, while Hunter’s Jamie Risso received Field Athlete of the Year accolades.  The Hawks’ Mikaelle Cesar was selected as Rookie of the Year, while Hunter’s Marvin Hawkins was voted Coach of the Year by his peers.  Amariah Emanuel-Tyler of Lehman was voted the winner of the Sportsmanship Award.
 
Track Athlete of the Year: Toshel Goffe, Medgar Evers
Goffe posted the top times in the conference in three events this season, the 100-meter dash (12.22), the 200 (25.44) and the 400 (59.55).  She was also a member of the Cougars’ winning 4×100 and 4×400 relays at the CUNYAC Championship.
 
Field Athlete of the Year: Jamie Risso, Hunter
Risso had two top CUNYAC marks in jumping events, placing first in the long jump (5.40 meters) and the triple jump (11.86 meters), with her triple jump mark ranking No. 22 nationally.  At the CUNYAC Championship in the long and triple jump as well as in the 100-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles.
 
Rookie of the Year: Mikaelle Cesar, Hunter
Cesar posted the No. 2 time in the conference in both the 800 (2:34.21) and 1500 (5:32.88) and the No. 4 time in the 400 (1:04.56).  She placed third in the 400 and 1500 at the conference meet and fourth in the 800.
 
Coach of the Year: Marvin Hawkins, Hunter
Hawkins guided the Hawks to their fifth straight CUNYAC women’s outdoor championship in 2025.  Hunter had a total of nine indiivdual event winners at the conference meet.
