DCHS Motorsports Team Races to Podium Finish at Chattanooga Green Prix – Discover Dade

TRENTON, Ga. — The Dade County High School Motorsports Team, led by Mr. Beeler, earned an impressive third-place finish at the Chattanooga Green Prix held this semester at Volkswagen Chattanooga.
Team members Philip Stafford, Alex Kidd, Hailey Gerrells, Glenn Hamm, and Liam Davison represented DCHS in the competitive Modified Division. Despite facing mechanical issues during their first race, the students worked swiftly to make key adjustments and returned to the track with determination.
Their efforts paid off as the team climbed the ranks to secure third place out of twelve competing vehicles.
The Green Prix competition challenges students to apply science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) principles to design and race electric-powered vehicles. The DCHS team’s performance reflects both technical skill and teamwork under pressure.
