If you were driving through downtown San Saba last Saturday night, you may have noticed things looked a lot different! Some may have thought – ‘what a crowd! There must be a celebrity performing there tonight.’ And they would have been correct!
Moe Bandy drew quite the crowd last Saturday night at the Hamrick’s Automotive Center Customer Appreciation Dance. Mr. Bandy’s band noted there must have been over 2,000 people in attendance.
The ‘Dance Floor’ was always full, and Moe Bandy was heard saying that San Saba has some good dancers!
Free raffle tickets were given out throughout the night. Mr. Hamrick’s employees walked around through the crowd to make sure everyone had theirs. They also passed out free goodies like ball caps, coozies, and notepads.
At random times during the event, winning ticket numbers were called. Everyone anxiously checked their tickets to see if they were the winner.
Here are the raffle ticket drawing winners:
• Bill Jones from San Saba won the Canyon Cooler – donated by Gateway.
• Darwin Lewis from San Saba won a gift certificate ($1,300 limit) for a set of tires – donated by Yokahoma.
• Kenny Crawford from Lampasas won a gift certificate ($1,300 limit) for a set of tires – donated by Gateway.
• Gabriel Basquez won the 22 Lever Action Henry Golden Boy – donated by Mesquite Country Lodge, Hamrick’s
Bailbonds & Lee Hoffpauir.
Congratulations to the winners. Everyone who attended was a winner of a fun time in down town San Saba!
The event was free, but there were many tables at the front – prime spots for the event that were for sale. This amount came to $9,000, and Lynn Hamrick donated the proceeds from the table sales to San Saba Youth Sports Association. There was also a donation spot at the event where folks could make a donation to the San Saba Youth Sports. Because of the generosity of the folks in attendance, it generated $1,111 in donations. In total, $10,111 was donated for San Saba Youth Sports from this event.
Thank you to Hamrick’s Automotive Center for your generosity and faithful service to San Saba!
