Driver killed in accident at Pueblo Motorsports Park
(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A driver was killed in an on-track accident at the Pueblo Motorsports Park on Saturday, Oct. 25.
According to the Motorsports Park, driver Danny Roberts was killed in an accident on Saturday that the park said was caused by a mechanical failure.
“Danny was not only a racer, he was like family to our track staff,” said Pueblo Motorsports Park on Facebook. “To the racers, he was always the first to lend a hand in the pits, or to help line someone up, or cheer you on from the starting line.”
Pueblo Motorsports said Roberts was passionate about drag racing and was a familiar face at the park.
“Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who loved him. We are grateful for the memories we have and will forever be thankful to have had Danny in our corner over years,” Pueblo Motorsports said.
