The Oregon football team will open its 2025 campaign ranked No. 7 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll.
The Ducks received one first-place vote in the Aug. 11 preseason poll, after finishing the 2024 season ranked No. 3.
Oregon opens the 2025 season against Montana State on Aug. 30 at Autzen Stadium and is expected to contend for a second-straight College Football Playof berth. The Ducks were the No. 1 seed in the CFP last season but lost to eventual champion Ohio State in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.

Oregon is also ranked No. 7 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll, which was released Aug. 4.
The Ducks’ 2025 schedule includes two teams who are in the preseason AP top 25 as well in No. 2 Penn State and No. 20 Indiana.
