DWAH TAKES THE 60M DASH TITLE AS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD BEGINS 24

New York, NY:  The Ramapo College women’s indoor track and field squad kicked off the 2024-2025 season today at the TCNJ Winter Open held at the NY Armory, which was organized by the College of New Jersey.
 
Gbarper Dwah took first place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.67 seconds, narrowly missing her own school record of 7.61 seconds. Zoey Cassavell secured 2nd place in the mile run with a time of 5:22.64, while Jasmin Silva-Vargas finished 5th at 5:49.02 and Maria Davila came in 10th with a time of 6:17.26. Barbara Exilus recorded a time of 43.66 seconds in the 300m dash, improving her personal best and ranking 8th in program history. Rea Pagatpatan achieved a 9th place finish in the 1000m run with a time of 3:25.85.
 
In the field events, Jessica Branham placed 8th in the long jump with a leap of 4.80m. Bryanna Shepperson cleared 1.43m in the high jump, finishing 11th overall. Concluding the meet, the 4x400m relay team registered a combined time of 4:22.42, consisting of Exilus, Victoria Romanov, Kamalah Williams, and Lynell Thomas.
 
The Roadrunners will return to competition in 2025, hosting the Ramapo Season Opener at the NY Armory on January 17th.
