Eagles Cruise Past FDU in 4-0 Win
The Eagles’ offense surged early in the match. Amalia Dray opened the scoring in the eighth minute, converting a corner kick delivered by Georgie Clarke with a header into the top corner of the net.
Sophia Lowenberg got her second goal of the season in the 11th minute of the game. Lowenberg headed the ball past the goalkeeper on a service from Sadie Mathis.
Junior Sophie Reale joined in on the scoring in the 13th minute, marking her first goal as an Eagle. She scored after Baylor Goldthwaite set her up with a cross right outside the box.
Milla Lee had the final goal of the game. Lee was able to make a move past a defender to clear the path to the goal.
The second half saw both teams create opportunities, but neither was able to capitalize on their chances, resulting in a scoreless period.
In her second career start, Olivia Shippee had five saves.
Boston College outshone FDU in shots on goal, recording 10 to FDU’s 6.
Both Sadie Mathis and Anndi Wright picked up assists, earning their first points of the season.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Cornell.
