STOCKTON, Calif. – Eastern completed their three-match road trip in Stockton, where EWU would lose to No. 61 Pacific 6-1. The Eagles fall to 4-13 overall, with No. 61 Pacific moving to 7-6 overallTyler Dalos/Tyler Waddock faced a ranked doubles team in the No. 1 position for the Eagles. The two jumped out to a 3-0 lead against No. 86 Ran Amar/Christof Coffey Schaertlin. Pacific’s doubles would however show their ranking and win six straight to take the match 6-3 Tyler Waddock would represent the Eagles in the No. 1 position. Tied 3-3 in the first set, Justas Trainauskas would pull away to take the set 6-4. Waddock in the second set would be in a back and forth affair and see a tiebreaker with it even 6-6. As he saw all of the second set, Waddock would exchange points, but would fall 7-6 (7-5) in the tiebreaker. No. 2 doubles Arshjot Bhatti/Drew Dillon saw an early 3-0 deficit, and saw their match called off early 5-2 in favor of the Tigers. Brady Thomas/Caden Kammerer in the No. 3 position would be unable to get their footing, as an early deficit would be too much in a 6-2 defeat. FOLLOW THE EAGLES

Stockton, CaliforniaIn doubles, the Eagles would run the same lineup as they had the previous two matches in California. Drew Dillon in the No. 3 singles position would fall 6-1 in the first set. The second set saw a very competitive second tied 3-3. Jonty Giesen from the Tigers would win three straight and take the second set 6-3. EWU and Pacific faced off in their third all-time meeting, with the Tigers pulling ahead in the series 2-1. The two split the previous two matches, and last played in 1991 when Pacific defeated the Eagles 8-1.Brady Thomas would round out singles in the No. 6 position. After winning a strong first set 6-4, Thomas would lose the second 6-2, and see a 10-point tiebreaker. After a 3-3 tie, Niv Zuckerman would win a big seventh point, and use that to win 10-4 to clinch the dual-match.SINGLES

In the No. 5 position, Arshjot Bhatti would fight back from a 4-0 deficit, but would be unable to complete the comeback and fall 6-4 in the first set. Christof Coffey Schaertlin would be able to use the first set victory and clinch the match with a 6-2 second set victory.

After a dominating first set 6-1 win, Vraj Patel controlled the pace of the second set and won 6-3. The third set saw four ties, but Kammerer would win the last two games to give him the win 6-4. With the victory, Kammerer moved to 7-7 on the season, and earned his 12th career singles dual-match win.
