ELKHORN, Wis. — The Elkhorn man accused of shooting and killing a bartender and her husband at a local sports bar in February 2024 has been found guilty, according to online court records.
Thomas Allen Routt Jr., 58, was found guilty Friday of two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, one count of armed robbery, one count of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, and one count of possession of methamphetamine.
Routt shot and killed 37-year-old Gina Weingart and her husband, 33-year-old Emerson Weingart, at the Sports Page Bar in downtown Elkhorn on Feb. 1, 2024.

He was taken into custody three days later, where he admitted to shooting both Gina and Emerson Weingart and also to following a witness outside and shooting at them as they fled.
Routt’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 26.
