Casper Ruud has sparked interest regarding Emma Raducanu’s impressive endorsement deals, as reports suggest she has surpassed earnings of athletes like Caitlin Clark and Simone Biles.

Raducanu, a sought-after name for brands looking for prominent figures to promote their goods, has secured sponsorship agreements with Nike, Wilson, and Evian while also serving as a representative for Dior, Tiffany, and Porsche.

Sportico recently indicated that Raducanu has earned £10,974,040 ($13,964,192) in the last year, with most of this income coming from her endorsements rather than her tennis results. This places her earnings higher than WNBA star Clark, who is reported to have made about £8,621,804 ($10,970,857) through endorsements.

Biles is rumored to have earned a comparable amount, yet Ruud expresses doubt about these figures. In a recent conversation on X (formerly Twitter), the 25-year-old tennis player questioned the veracity of the reported earnings, asking a fan: “How do you/they know? Have you seen all of Emma, Aryna and Elena’s contracts with your own eyes?”

The fan referenced an article stating that the figures were ‘assembled through discussions with those knowledgeable about marketing agreements’, to which he replied: “Fair enough, but even for them it’s a guessing game. No agent would ever grant access to their player’s contracts.”

He continued by stating that only the player and agent truly know their earnings, suggesting that media should refer to them as ‘highest estimated paid athletes’ instead.

DON’T MISS

Raducanu, with an estimated net worth of around £10 million ($12.72 million) according to the Sunday Times Rich List, was recognized by Forbes as the sixth highest-paid tennis player worldwide last year. A significant portion of her income has originated from endorsements, with her total tennis prize money recorded at £3.35M ($4.26M), according to the WTA website.

There has been conjecture that Raducanu’s commercial activities might be influencing her on-court performance. Nonetheless, she refuted these assertions earlier this year, asserting that much of her work is conducted off-camera.

In conversation with The Times, she remarked: “There are those who notice me doing a shoot or participating in a commercial, but they don’t recognize the seven hours I spend at the training center beforehand, doing physiotherapy, gym, and practicing.”

She noted: “But if I happen to go to a premiere and get photographed on a rare occasion, that’s my leisure time.”
