The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has urged the visitors of open and green desert areas to enjoy the natural reserves while preserving them and avoid littering or lighting fires directly on the ground.Accordingly, the ministry called on the public to co-operate and adhere to the approved measures for environmental protection, highlighting the importance of reporting any violations through the unified contact centre at 16066.
The ministry stressed that removing or displacing the fences surrounding the reserves is a violation of the law, and will subject offenders to legal accountability. The fencing project is part of the efforts to protect these areas from encroachments, prevent vehicle entry, and preserve the environmental and natural heritage to ensure its sustainability for future generations.Necessary measures will be taken against violators in accordance with applicable regulations. The ministry clarified these fences do not obstruct the visitors from accessing the reserves and were installed to protect them and maintain their ecological balance, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the wilderness responsibly and sustainably.
