Entry List For The NASCAR Modifieds At White Mountain Motorsports Park
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour heads to the White Mountains of New Hampshire for a battle on the high-banked bullring of White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday night for the sixth race of the 2025 season.
2025 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at White Mountain Motorsports Park
Heading into Saturday’s race, the four-time champion is back in familiar territory atop the points standings. Justin Bonsignore made history last race when he scored his 12th victory in NWMT competition at his home track of Riverhead Raceway, putting him in sole possession of first on the all-time NWMT wins list at the Long Island bullring. Now, Bonsignore heads to the quarter-mile bullring that is White Mountain Motorsports Park looking to score his second victory in his third start there. Bonsignore took the win there in the first of two visits to White Mountain in 2020. He finished fifth in the other trip there. Bonsignore now leads the points standings by six over Austin Beers.
Beers has yet to run a NWMT race at White Mountain, as the track’s only two NWMT races to date both came in 2020, before Beers joined the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Beers entered the last race at Riverhead as the points leader, but an eighth-place finish dropped him out of the points lead by six points to Bonsignore. Beers has an average finish of 5.0 in five starts, second only to Bonsignore, but he’s still looking for his first victory of the season.
Third in points is Craig Lutz, who trails Bonsignore by 12 points and is six points back of Beers for second in the standings. Lutz made starts in both races at White Mountain in 2020. He scored a top 10 in the first race with an eighth-place finish. He finished 11th in the second race after starting 17th. Lutz finished fifth at Riverhead and gained one spot in the standings to move back to third after a bad day at Seekonk Speedway dropped him from the points lead back to fourth.
The next two drivers who round out the top five in points have also not made NWMT starts at White Mountain Motorsports Park before this weekend. Those drivers are Stephen Kopcik, who sits fourth in points, 19 points behind Bonsignore, and Luke Baldwin, who is fifth in points, 21 points behind Bonsignore.
Kopcik made his first career start at Riverhead Raceway last race and had a bit of a rough night. Kopcik’s great qualifying effort gave him a front row starting position, but he was caught up in two separate incidents on the fourth lap of the race and on Lap 179. Kopcik finished 15th.
Baldwin, meanwhile, had a mostly uneventful trip to Long Island two weeks ago. Baldwin started 11th and finished 10th, and that’s pretty much all there is to say about the young driver’s afternoon at Riverhead Raceway. As a result, Baldwin stayed fifth in points, but lost eight points to Bonsignore.

JR Motorsports’ path to NASCAR Cup takes big hit after charter news
Dec. 15, 2025, 11:20 a.m. ET
JR Motorsports has been linked to a potential move to the NASCAR Cup Series for years. Led by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kelley Earnhardt Miller, the organization made its Cup Series debut in the 2025 Daytona 500 with Justin Allgaier, earning a top 10 finish. However, JR Motorsports’ path to a full-time opportunity has taken a hit.
NASCAR has settled with 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, making charters “permanent” moving forward. Following the settlement, the value of NASCAR charters may have doubled, as reported by the Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern. This puts the value of a charter possibly around $90 to $100 million.
JR Motorsports previously struggled with the finances to buy a charter, so a full-time opportunity in the Cup Series is very unlikely without some help. The NASCAR organization will likely have to find partners to acquire a charter in the Cup Series. While the long-term acquisition of a charter might be good for business now, the price to buy one has skyrocketed, leaving JR Motorsports with a tough path ahead.

Hendrick Motorsports reveals statement after NASCAR settlement in 2025
Dec. 15, 2025, 10:00 a.m. ET
Hendrick Motorsports is among the teams positively impacted after NASCAR and 23XI Racing/Front Row Motorsports reached a settlement. Following the trial, NASCAR teams were granted “permanent” charters, ending the “seven-year agreements” that put them on a running clock.
This was one of the biggest moments in NASCAR history, as the sport’s long-term future received a boost. After the news, Hendrick Motorsports revealed a statement from owner Rick Hendrick supporting the decision to end the lawsuit.
“Millions of loyal NASCAR fans and thousands of hardworking people rely on our industry, and today’s resolution allows all of us to focus on what truly matters – the future of our sport,” Rick Hendrick said in a statement. “For more than 40 years, NASCAR racing has been my passion. I believe deeply in what we can accomplish when we work together. This moment presents an important opportunity to strengthen our relationships and recommit ourselves to building a collaborative and prosperous future for all stakeholders. I’m incredibly optimistic about what’s ahead. When our industry is united, there’s no limit to how far we can go or how much we can grow the sport we love.”
Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing are the only two organizations to have four charters, so it is great for both that NASCAR settled. This is an excellent outcome for everyone involved, and Hendrick Motorsports is excited to move past the drama in the courtroom.
