Seriously, who else is doing stuff like this? So effortless. So rad. You can’t fake this kind of style, and at the same time, it can’t be mirrored. The best part is, he’ll also grind huge handrails and a tear through a variety of other terrain all the same.
He recently skated the DIY street quarter pipe in Compton (you know the one) and rifled off a handful of tricks that I haven’t seen anyone else do. But are any of us surprised? I’m certainly not! Peep the session below and get stoked.
Off the board, he’s quite the character as well. Have you seen his recent interview on The Nine Club? Pretty funny. He’s been killing it for years now and ain’t slowing down. Big ups to Erick. Keep it going.
The timeless spirit of skateboarding is alive and well in Erick. I could watch him skate a parking block, vert ramp, backyard pool… shoot, I could watch him skate flat, because you know he’d still be shocking us with some wild moves that we all simply wish we could do—let alone think of in the first place. Say what you want, but Erick Winkowski is unarguably one of the raddest dudes in skateboarding. His unique bag of tricks and creative approach to every spot he skates is a constant breath of fresh air. He’s in a world of his own and we love to see it.
Never a dull moment with Winkowski! In my opinion. we need skaters like Erick now more than ever. I’m a fan of all types of skateboarding, don’t get me wrong. And I’m always down to give respect where respect is due, but there’s a lot of skaters out there sort of just copying each other these days. You know?
