Branson Parks and Recreation have multiple opportunities for your children to be active this fall.
Registration is now open for a number of fall sports leagues in soccer, volleyball and flag football.
Youth soccer leagues are open to boys and girls ages five to 15. The teams practice once a week starting Aug. 18 and will hold games on Saturdays starting Sept. 6, running through Oct. 25. The boys and girls teams will be in separate leagues for U6, U8 and U10, but U12 and U15 leagues will be co-ed. Individual and team registrations will be accepted until Aug. 12.
The PeeWee Soccer Program for children ages three and four will be run by Branson Parks and Recreation staff for a six week period. The program focuses on the fundamentals of soccer including motor skills, teamwork and game basics. The participants will take part in interactive drills and activities. The classes will run Saturdays from Sept. 13 to Oct. 25 with registration by Aug. 19 to obtain a t-shirt, Sept. 2 to join the league.
Registration for the fall youth volleyball league for boys and girls grades kindergarten through eighth grade is open now through Aug. 19. Practices will begin the week of Aug. 25 and games will take place on Friday and Saturdays from Sept. 12 to Oct. 25. Admission to games is free for players, coaches and children under 11, but all other spectators will have to pay admission for games. Registration ends Aug. 19.
The Youth Flag Football League will start practices on Aug. 25 and play games between Sept. 9 and Oct. 9. Second and third grade teams play on Tuesday nights, kindergarten and first grade on Thursday nights with Wednesday nights for overflow games or makeup games. Admission to games is free for players, coaches and children under 11, but all other spectators will have to pay admission for games.
