Father, son found in SAR after skiing outside of Beaver Mountain boundaries

Officials with Cache County Sheriff’s Office said the father and his 11-year-old son were skiing on Beaver Mountain Monday when they got lost near Peterson Hollow.”Afterwards, friendly and unsolicited advice was offered to the pair. This included a kind but serious plea to stay in-bounds when skiing at Beaver Mountain,” a press release said.Additional help was requested to find the pair before dark, so Sheriff’s deputies and search and rescue teams joined the search.The father texted emergency dispatchers about the situation. Ski Patrol personnel struggled to find the pair as nightfall grew closer.BEAVER MOUNTAIN, Utah (KUTV) — A father and son were found in a search and rescue effort after the pair skied outside of Beaver Mountain’s boundaries.___The two were found, and officials said they appeared “healthy and unharmed or injured.”Both father and son were medically evaluated and able to make it to Franklin Basin Road, receiving a ride to the Beaver Mountain parking lot.
