Next, can we pause for a moment to truly appreciate these? I mean, the Verdy Dunks from a few months back were quite unconventional. There have been numerous contentious releases over the years (they all sell out regardless) but these are tough to ignore.
What I’m curious about is whether folks are actually going to skate in these? Honestly, I find myself wondering that every time a new Dunk releases, yet still. Nike SB just keeps churning them out!
Don’t misunderstand me—I’m not criticizing. I just didn’t anticipate seeing these pop up in my feed today! Honestly, I adore The Wizard of Oz, too! It’s a timeless classic. But indeed, these are quite something.
In any case, our pals at @nikesbornothing indicated that these will be hitting stores around mid-December. Regardless of whether you think they look wild or not, these Dunk releases are vital in backing your beloved skate retailers. That’s why I’m supporting them fully.
Love them or dislike them, they’re coming your way! For those of you who can rock these—props to you! For those of you hunting for a pair and engaging in the art of the hustle—that’s cool. But for those who saw these and thought, “I can’t wait to skate those!”—I salute you.
