JASON. WHERE WAS SHE GETTING THIS MONEY? GUYS, THE MONEY CAME FROM TICKET SALES AND CASH FROM DIFFERENT SPORTING EVENTS. NOW, THESE DOCUMENTS SAY NONE OF IT EVER MADE IT TO SCHOOL DISTRICT ACCOUNTS. SEVERAL MESSAGES INTO KOCO FIVE AFTER COURT DOCUMENTS SAY FORMER ATHLETIC DIRECTOR COURTNEY WALKER WAS CHARGED WITH EMBEZZLEMENT FRIDAY. THE DISTRICT TELLS US HER OFFICIAL TITLE WAS ATHLETIC FACILITATOR WITH MOORE HIGH SCHOOL. THIS PARENT MESSAGED ME ON FACEBOOK SAYING, QUOTE, HEARING THIS NEWS MAKES YOU WONDER HOW MUCH MONEY HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM THESE EVENTS. OFTEN IT’S SPORTS PARENTS OR ADMINISTRATORS WHO ARE COLLECTING THIS CASH AT THE WINDOW AND ARE SUPPOSED TO TURN IT ALL IN IN GOOD FAITH. THE ALLEGED INCIDENTS HAPPENED BETWEEN AUGUST 2024 AND MAY 2025. THE COURT DOCUMENTS LIST SPECIFIC DOLLAR AMOUNTS AND WHERE THEY CAME FROM. $7,000 FROM THE LADY LIONS CLUB DURING THE MID-AMERICA YOUTH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT. $13,000 FROM THE VOLLEYBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT, $20,000 FROM THE GAME DAY STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT, $7,000 FROM THE SIX-A BOYS REGIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT, $10,000 FROM THE FIVE A-6A REGIONAL TRACK MEET, AND $4,000 FROM A SEVEN ON SEVEN FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT IN THE SPRING. THIS PARENT WROTE, I’M A CHEER PARENT AND WE WORKED SO HARD LAST YEAR AT THAT NOVEMBER EVENT, ONLY FOR THIS MONEY TO BE STOLEN. OUR BIGGEST FUNDRAISER IS THAT CHEER COMPETITION AND WE LOST THE RIGHTS TO HOST IT THIS YEAR, THE DOCUMENTS SAY. ON JULY 1ST THIS YEAR, MOORE PUBLIC SCHOOLS FIRST MADE THE REPORT. IN A STATEMENT, MPS SAID IN PART, QUOTE, UPON LEARNING OF THIS, MPS ADMINISTRATION IMMEDIATELY FILED A REPORT WITH THE MOORE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND NOTIFIED THE OKLAHOMA STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE AFFECTED CO-SPONSOR. MPS ADMINISTRATION ALSO PLACED HER ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE PENDING A FULL INVESTIGATION. MISS WALKER HAS SINCE RESIGNED FROM HER EMPLOYMENT WITH MPS. NOW, WE’RE TOLD, THE INTERNAL INVESTIGATION FROM THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS ONGOING, AS WELL AS AN ACTIVE INVESTIGATION FROM THE MOORE POLICE DEPARTMENT AS WELL
