A former biochemistry and molecular biology research professor at Penn State is facing additional charges for a recording a naked woman from outside her home after being charged for stalking and loitering in June.

Anoop Narayanan, 50, was charged with two misdemeanor counts Monday — one for invasion of privacy and the other for loitering and prowling at nighttime.

Narayanan was allegedly found watching a State College family in their home on June 15.

Police later conducted a forensic analysis on Narayanan’s phone and allegedly found a video of a nude woman from 2023 and issued a search warrant to identify the woman.

Narayanan allegedly maliciously loitered and recorded the women from outside her window without her knowledge or consent, according to the criminal complaint.

When police consulted the woman in the video, she confirmed she didn’t provide permission for the recording.

Narayanan is no longer employed at Penn State, a university spokesperson told the Collegian.
