Fort Drum kids go whitewater rafting on Black River
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Fort Drum kids are enjoying what the North Country has to offer.
A group went on a whitewater rafting trip along the Black River on Tuesday, as part of the Fort Drum Child and Youth Services’ Sports and Fitness Adventure Camp.
It’s one of the many sports and fitness summer camps that took place on post this summer, ranging from flag football and soccer to pickleball and wrestling.
Organizers say the summer sports camp program serves as a good introduction and learning opportunity for a variety of sports.
