BRENTWOOD, Tenn.– With the 2025 University of Tennessee at Martin track and field season fast approaching, the Ohio Valley Conference named four Skyhawks as athletes to watch for the upcoming year.
 
Chadwick Stewart (Male Track Athlete To Watch), Janay Chapman (Female Track Athlete To Watch), Andy Westbrooks (Male Field Athlete To Watch) and Holly Henderson (Female Field Athlete To Watch) were named to the prestigious list.
 
Stewart comes into the season as the indoor school record holder for the 60 meter dash (6.84) while also being one fourth of the record breaking 4×400 team that set a time of 3:18.91 back at the 2024 OVC Indoor Championships.
 
Chapman enters the year with her name across the record books with the top times in the 55m (7.19) and the 60m (7.70). The graduate is also a part of the top 4×100 time in the outdoor record books with a 46.45 at the 2023 OVC Outdoor Championships.
 
Westbrooks recorded two personal bests at last year’s Joey Haines Invite in the long jump (6.60m) and javelin throw (39.55) while also holding a PR of 1.95m in the high jump which he set during the Redhawks Open.
 
The junior Henderson had a strong 2024 performance that was highlighted by setting the indoor school record in the triple jump (11.56m) at the 2024 OVC Indoor Championships. Additionally, Henderson set a PR in the long jump of 5.52m while at the Music City Challenge.
 
UT Martin will begin the season on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Commodore Challenge in Nashville, Tenn.
