FWCS is also working with the Fort Wayne Police Department to design an efficient traffic flow for people coming in, and leaving the stadium. With safety being a large concern, there are crosswalks to ensure the community can go to different facilities. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – FWCS held a presentation Wednesday night to share plans on its new football stadium at Snider High School. “We’ve never played a home game,” Kurt Tippmann, Snider football coach for over 30 years, said. “We’ve always played on the road. To see the pictures of what its gonna look like, and put some realism to it, I think just the overall excitement, can’t wait for it really.” Darren Hess, director of facilities at FWCS, believes the stadium is what Snider needs. “Having several state championships…they deserve a place they can call home,” Hess said. “We’ve had so much excitement over this, it’s gonna be really cool when we actually start constructing,” Hess said. “And for students to not worry about whether they are on Northop or Snider’s home, will be a big deal.”
