Freshman Gabbie Garcia blasted a grand slam to key third-ranked OU softball’s five-run fourth inning to help lift the Sooners to a 13-3 road win over Cal State Fullerton late Friday.

The biggest moment came during the fourth-inning at-bat, shortly after OU had taken a 1-0 lead.Ella Parker finished 2 for 5 with two runs and a double.Emerling delivered the biggest blow of the inning, with a three-run home run off the foul pool in left. OU didn’t need a hit to load the bases in the fourth, as Ailana Agbayani drew a one-out walk, followed by Emerling being hit by pitch and Tia Milloy reaching on an infield error.Garcia was 3 for 5 in Friday’s games.More:OU softball’s pre-SEC schedule more pillow fight than gauntlet. Thursday, it was North Carolina transfer Isabela Emerling who came through with the grand slam in the ninth inning of an 11-6 extra-inning win over San Diego State.After the Titans trimmed the Sooners’ lead to 5-3 in the fifth, OU broke the game open once more in the sixth with five more.
