MEDFORD, MA (May 5, 2025) – The 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship winning Tufts University men’s lacrosse team picked up their third NESCAC Player of the Week award following their 13th conference title in program history. Conner Garzone earned the weekly award after an 11 save weekend to help Tufts lift the trophy once again.

Garzone saw 13 shots in the semifinal versus Middlebury, and stood tall in the crease to make seven stops in only the first half. The graduate student took the first half in the championship game versus Wesleyan, and once again stopped the majority of shots he faced with four saves on seven shots faced.

Tufts’ reliable netminder will enter the NCAA Tournament with a goals against average of 9.12 and a save percentage of 57%. Both statistics place him within the top 40 in the entire country.

The Jumbos will host the second and third round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament as they play the winner of the Rhodes College (Tenn.) and Transylvania University (Ky.) on Saturday at noon.
