In a Prep League matchup at Alhambra Park Pool on Jan. 23, Poly and Westridge faced off against one another nearly two weeks after the Eaton Fire severely impacted Pasadena and Altadena neighborhoords.
Sports gives many the opportunity to take a break on the rest of the world to focus on the task at hand, coming together as a team to work towards something greater. Returning back to competition from the fires for Poly, Westridge and other Pasadena schools has brought a sense of reassurance.
