Eliza Lindsey chuckles when she explains why she decided to step away from figure skating at age 5.
“I don’t really remember it because I was so young, but my parents tell me I was complaining about it being too cold, my hands were always freezing and I wanted to quit,” the 13-year-old Roosevelt Middle School student said. “I came back to it because one of my friends was in it, and I didn’t mind being cold anymore. Now, I go out there and skate in a T-shirt.”
