After a great outing against New Hampshire and Fisk, WMU moved to the top of the MAC rankings on vault. The Broncos had a season-best score of 48.800 to boost their average to 48.733, sitting ahead of Eastern Michigan and its average of 48.700.The two team’s also have the MAC’s two top-rated gymnasts in the event. BSU’s Zoe Middleton sits just ahead of Cassie St. Clair with an average of 9.887 to St. Clair’s 9.858. Sandwiched between Krzciok’s wins, was Reese Samuelsson claiming the top spot on beam at the Next Level Podium Challenge. The meet can be watched live on ESPN+.FANTASTIC ON FLOOR
Sunday’s meet will feature the two best teams in the MAC on floor with the Broncos and the Cardinals. Ball State is at the top of the rankings with an average of 48.967 and a season-best of 49.150. Western Michigan sits just behind them with an average of 48.858 and a season-best of 49.025. THAT MAKES THREE
During last week’s meet, a Western Michigan gymnast won the beam for the third time in three meets this season. Sophomore Emily Krzciok claimed her second beam title of the season after posting a 9.850. Her first came at WMU’s season-opening meet at Michigan State. LAST WEEK
The Broncos hosted New Hampshire and Fisk and posted a season-best score of 195.350. Broncos were at the top of the standings in each event, while the team picked up its first two wins of the season. ON THE HORIZON
