Men’s National Team captain Ben Hallock and Pro Recco won the 2024/25 Italian Cup! After defeating Ortigia and Trieste, Pro Recco beat Marko Vavic and Savona in the final. Vavic and Savona upended Tyler Abramson and De Akker in the quarterfinals before outlasting Max Irving and Brescia in the semifinal. Irving scored one in the quarterfinals and two in the semifinals before erupting for five goals to claim MVP honors in the bronze medal match. Quinn Woodhead and Roma Vis Nova fell to Trieste by a lone goal in the quarterfinals.
Dylan Woodhead’s Vouliagmeni squad defeated Apollon Smirnis and fell to Olympiacos in the Winner’s Stage of A1 Ethniki. Elsewhere, goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg and Chios lost a couple of close contests to Panionios and Panathinaikos.
