The 3v3 women’s league impressed fans during its inaugural season earlier this year and will be returning for round two in 2026 with a whole host of new stars from college basketball signing NIL deals
Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo is among 14 NCAA women’s basketball stars to have signed NIL deals with Unrivaled as it prepares to return for a second season in 2026.
The inaugural campaign of the women’s 3-on-3 basketball league was largely considered a success due to its strong viewership numbers and social media engagement. With a host of WNBA stars involved, including co-founders Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, there was plenty of quality on show.
One star who wasn’t involved was WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark, who opted to snub a reported $1 million offer in favor of some downtime during the off-season instead. Her Indiana Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham also chose not to feature and explained her reasoning.

Following Unrivaled’s successful first season, the league has been considering adding more players and potentially even new teams as its popularity continues to grow, with organizers keen to integrate new faces with its original ones.
And despite initially being created for WNBA players, has now recruited 14 new players from the NCAA to NIL deals, which will see them attend a multi-day event at Unrivaled’s headquarters in Miami including skill development and content creation before the league’s second season begins in January.
On Saturday, the women’s 3-on-3 basketball league announced that the likes of Hidalgo, JuJu Watkins, Azzi Fudd and Flau’Jae Johnson, had all signed NIL deals with Unrivaled as part of its college outreach initiative.
In it’s inaugural season, Unrivaled had deals with Paige Bueckers and Johnson, while Watkins has also previously been involved with the start-up league as an investor in its Series A funding round. This year’s new additions, which also features the likes of Olivia Miles and Maddison Booker, aren’t just seniors, either, with a number of sophomores also included in the latest round-up of talent.
“Unrivaled is doing something amazing for women’s sports. It’s a big reason why we’re all here today,” Johnson said at Unrivaled’s pop-up headquarters in Indianapolis. “They’re doing it in the W and really giving us a chance in college to really go at it.”
UConn guard Fudd added: “Just seeing from the first year what (the league) was able to build, you know it’s only going to get better. “I’m super excited.”
“Our job is to try to bridge the gap between the current stars that are in Unrivaled and the future stars sitting on the stage right now,” said Luke Cooper, president of basketball operations.
Accompanying Hidalgo, Watkins, Fudd, Johnson, Miles and Booker in signing NIL deals are UCLA’s Kiki Rice and sisters Lauren and Sienna Betts, Iowa State’s Audi Crooks, LSU’s MiLaysia Fulwiley, South Carolina Ta’Niya Latson and Michigan’s Syla Swords.
