LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego grad student Julia Haynes is ranked No. 49 nationally in singles by the ITA in their first rankings of the spring season. The ranking of No. 49 is second highest among all Big West players.

The ITA Rankings Algorithm is based on an accumulation of win points and loss points, accounting for a win-loss record, the strength of schedule, and the depth/significance of wins and losses. As the season progresses, the value of each win and loss adjusts to reflect the most recent ranking of the opponent.
Haynes and the Tritons begin their Big West schedule on Saturday when they host Long Beach State at 1 p.m. from Northview Tennis Courts in La Jolla.
