BASEBALL
New Trier 14, Evanston 3

CJ Donnelly socked a three-run home run as part of a three-hit, six-RBI day for the Trevians on Thursday, April 24, in Evanston.

Luke Mastros added a homer for New Trier (14-5), which took two of three from the Kits.

Highland Park 5, Maine West 2 (8 inn.)

Luke Giese drove in three runs and Trent Harradine two in the Giants’ league victory on Thursday, April 24.

Brett Karman allowed one run while striking out five over six innings pitched for Highland Park (14-3-1, 6-0).

Joliet Catholic 12, Loyola 1

The Ramblers dropped the home contest on Wednesday, April 23.

New Trier 5, Evanston 4

Keenan Donaldson homered and collected three hits to lead the Trevians on Tuesday, April 22, in Winnetka.

Henrik Conniff struck out seven and earned the win for New Trier.

Highland Park 5, Maine West 3

Ben Lichtenfeld doubled twice and drove in a run to help the Giants to a win on Tuesday, April 22.

Evanston 12, New Trier 10

Trey Meyers hit a home run and racked up four RBI for the Trevs on Monday, April 21, in Evanston.

The Kits scored 10 runs in the first inning and held on.

Grayslake Central 9, Loyola 8

The Ramblers nearly overcame an eight-run deficit before taking the nonconference loss on Monday, April 21.

New Trier 5, Barrington 2

Caiden Carpenter hit a three-run home run while Greg Campitelli pitched five shutout innings for the Trevians on Saturday, April 19.

SOFTBALL
St. Laurence 6, Loyola 0

The Vikings put up five runs in the sixth inning to help top the Ramblers on Thursday, April 24.

Regina 15, Christian Liberty 8

Alice Kisor knocked in three runs to lead the Panthers on Thursday, April 24.

New Trier 6, Highland Park/Deerfield 5

The Trevians earned the league victory on Tuesday, April 22, thanks in part to a four-run third inning.

Loyola 10, Resurrection 1

Hunter Lewis struck out a whopping 20 Bandits for the Ramblers on Tuesday, April 22.

Leanna Keller hit a two-run homer and knocked in two other runs for Loyola.

GIRLS SOCCER
New Trier 1, Hinsdale Central 0

Dami Balogun’s second-half goal was the difference on Thursday, April 24, in the Trevs’ first game of the Ed Watson Naperville Invitational.

Loyola 3, Lyons 1

The Ramblers got a victory to start off the Ed Watson Naperville Invitational on Thursday, April 24.

Highland Park 1, Niles North 1

Rafi Rush scored off an assist from Sydney Jones in the Giants’ league draw on Thursday, April 24.

Highland Park 7, Maine West 0

Sydney Jones scored twice and Jessie Eldridge tallied two assists to lead the Giants on Tuesday, April 22.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
New Trier 25-25, Deerfield 15-20

The Trevians moved to 9-3 with the conference victory on Wednesday, April 23.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Jones 10, Regina 9

Hannah Lynch led the Panthers with three goals while Natalai added two on Thursday, April 24.

Regina 20, Kenwood 8

Hannah Lynch scored eight times and Mary Grace Schafer five for the Panthers on Tuesday, April 22.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
Lake Forest Invitational

Madeline Haran won the 400-meter run, Charlotte Kroll the 1,600 and Niamh Byrne the 3,200 to help Regina Dominican to first place on Tuesday, April 22.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD
Minooka Conference Clash

Dylan Nemerovski, Will Miller, Jake Oseland and William Landwer finished first in the 4-by-100 relay with a time of 42.02 seconds on Thursday, April 24, helping New Trier to a third place finish in the seven-team invite.

Landwer added wins in the 100 (10.74 seconds) and 200 (21.71), while Walter Garrett won the 3,200 (9 minutes 47.96 seconds).

New Trier Armchair Invite

William Landwer won the 100-meter dash and 300 hurdles and was a part of the winning 400 relay on Saturday, April 19, for the Trevians, who placed first ahead of Prospect and Conant.

Charles Hayes (high jump), Dylan Benjamin (long jump), Michael Gorelick (triple jump) and Dylan Nemerovski (200) also earned wins for New Trier.

Chaotic Wrestling 5/23/2025 Boston Brawl 4 Results

On Friday, May 23rd, Chaotic Wrestling returned to East Boston, MA for it’s event, “Boston Brawl 4.” The event streamed live on the Chaotic Wrestling Twitch and YouTube channel.

The main event of the show saw Mortar put his Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on the line against Brad Cashew.

We also saw Kalvin Dumont put the Chaotic Wrestling Pan Optic Championship on the line against Armani Kayos, The Unit’s JT Dunn & Trigga The OG put the Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Championships on the line in a three-way match, a seven-team tag team gauntlet match, Ricky Smokes go one-on-one with Jack Cartwheel in a WWE ID official match, and so much more. No. 22 Women's Outdoor Track & Field at NCAA Championships

GENEVA, Ohio— The Wartburg women’s outdoor track and field team is tied for 24th place with five points place after day two of the National Championships.
 
Friday’s events
3,000m steeplechase finals                Ellie Meyer      4th          10:27.52

Notes:

  • This was Meyer’s fourth-straight All-American honor in the steeplechase
  • She tied her best podium finish (fourth place, also accomplished in 2023)
  • This was the fifth-straight year Wartburg has earned All-America honors in the steeplechase
  • This was the 11th total All-American honor in the steeplechase for the program
  • Meyer remained third on the program’s top 10 list in this event, but improved her time

Wyoming High School State Track and Field Meet: The first day of the Wyoming High School State Track and Field Meet in Casper is complete and Sheridan County High Schools have 3 state champions so far.

Big Horn Freshman Lyla Marney set a new 2A record in the girls 3200 meter run, breaking the old record set back in 2005, by about 13 seconds.

Trace Nelson of BH is the state champ in the 2A boys long jump.

As for Sheridan, the boys 1600 sprint medley relay team finished 1st.

In the team standings through the end of Day 1, it’s Big Horn and then everyone else in 2A Boys.

Sheridan is in 2nd place in the 4A Boys standings, behind Star Valley.

Competition today and tomorrow starts at 9am.

Wyoming High School State Soccer Tournament: The Sheridan boys won their first round game in the 4A State Tournament, 3-2 over Rock Springs.

The Broncs will play Kelly Walsh in the semi-finals today at 4pm at Thunder Basin High School.

The other semi-final is between Cheyenne Central and Jackson.

The Sheridan girls lost their first game of the season yesterday, as they fell against Kelly Walsh in a shootout.

The Lady Broncs will take on Laramie in a consolation round elimination game today at 9am at Campbell County High School.

The Buffalo boys shut out Powell 3-nil in the 3A State Tournament yesterday and will play Lander today in the semi-finals at 4pm.

The other semi-final is between Torrington and Cody.

The Buffalo girls lost against Cody 8-zip, and will play Worland today in a consolation round elimination game at 9am.

Wyoming High School State Softball Tournament: Sheridan dropped their first round game vs. Cheyenne Central 20-17 at the State Tournament in Cheyenne.

The Lady Broncs will take on Laramie today at 12-noon in an elimination game.

The team can still play its way to the state championship, but to do so, they will have to win 3-games back-to-back-to-back with a short break in between games, both today and tomorrow.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers play a non-conference game today at Gillette starting at 7:30pm.

The team will be in Gillette tomorrow to take on Evanston at 9:30am and Jackson at 12-noon.

Sunday is an off day for graduation.

The Troopers will play 2 more at Gillette on Memorial Day Monday, starting at 12-noon against Powell, followed by a 2:30pm game vs. Laramie.


High School Rodeo: Cowboys and cowgirls will be competing at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo tomorrow, Sunday and Monday.

Competition starts at 10am both tomorrow and Sunday and at 9am on Monday.

The Wyoming High School State Rodeo Finals will also be in Buffalo in 2 weeks.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies were swept in a 4-game series at home vs. Philadelphia, losing yesterday 2-zip.

The Rocks start a 3-game home series vs. the New York Yankees today.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.

Tomorrow’s game will start at 2:10pm, and Sunday’s game at 1:10pm.

On Monday, the Rocks will start a 9-game road trip, beginning with a 3-game series at the Chicago Cubs.


NBA Playoffs: Oklahoma City won Game 2 of their best of 7 western conference finals series at home last night vs. Minnesota 118-103.

The Thunder lead the series 2-zip.

Game 3 is tomorrow at Minnesota.

Tonight is Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between Indiana and New York.


NHL Playoffs: The Florida Panthers won on the road again, as they shut out Carolina 5-zip, to take a 2-nothing lead in their best of 7 Eastern Conference finals series.

Game 3 is tomorrow at Florida.

Tonight is Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between Edmonton and Dallas.

Knoxville native Kenny Chesney's Las Vegas Sphere show highlights UT, Gibbs High School

LAS VEGAS, NV. (WVLT) – Knoxville native Kenny Chesney opened his Las Vegas Sphere residency Thursday night, and he showcased some of his Tennessee roots while he did it.

Fans, like Nate Livesay, caught pictures and video of Neyland Stadium and Gibbs High School’s football field getting airtime on the massive Sphere screens.

“When we started talking about all of the possibilities playing Sphere offered, I was all in,” Chesney is quoted on the Sphere’s website. “Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed-in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation; literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound and being together.
