Hezly Rivera looks to continue her momentum on day two of the U.S. Championships in gymnastics on Monday after stealing the show on day one.
The first day of events in the 2025 U.S. Championships saw Hezly Rivera come out with all the headlines. Rivera, the youngest member of the U.S. delegation at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, is a future star in the world of gymnastics. She is already a Junior World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist before stepping onto the mat for the LSU Tigers. She showcased her skills in front of what will be Rivera’s future home crowd in New Orleans, Louisiana, on day one of the 2025 U.S. Championships. She topped the field for the best all-around score, highlighted by her performance on the balance beam.

Rivera dominated the balance beam with a score of 14.35 points. That led to her final all-around score of 55.6 points to take the lead over the field heading into the second day of events. She has both Joscelyn Roberson and Leanne Wong right on her heels heading into day two.
Roberson finished in second place in the all-around competition with 55.4 points. She won the floor exercise and tied for first in uneven bars to keep pace with Rivera. The only other woman in the field with at least 55 points in the all-around competition is Wong with 55.1 points.
Wong took first place in vault to keep in the mix with both Rivera and Roberson in the all-around competition. Those three are in a prime position to win the 2025 U.S. Championships in gymnastics.
