LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Rebekah Allick recorded a match-high 16 kills, while Harper Murray added 15 in a sold-out intrasquad scrimmage at the Devaney Center on Saturday. Allick guided the Red team to a 3-1 win, which included victories in each of the first three sets. In the middle of the match, the Waverly graduate was presented the Huskers 2025 Lifter of the Year award.

The Red vs. White scrimmage marked the unofficial Nebraska debut for newcomers Allie Sczech, Virginia Adriano, Manaia Ogbechie, and Kenna Cogill.

First-year head coach Dani Busboom Kelly was pleased with her team’s performance. DBK specifically praised Nebraska’s setters, Bergen Reilly and Campbell Flynn. Other position battles showed little separation during the Red vs. White scrimmage. Busboom Kelly said the Huskers will focus on serving and passing in the upcoming week.

Nebraska has another preseason exhibition scheduled on August 16th. The Huskers, who are ranked #1 in the AVCA Preseason Poll, will face a team of Nebraska alumni.
