Isaiah Sealy is getting ready for his first season with the Arkansas men’s basketball team, but spent a couple of days this week giving back to his community. The Springdale native hosted his inaugural basketball camp at the Springdale Recreation Center. Between the two days, about 83 campers took the courts to run drills and sharpen their basketball skills alongside the hometown Hog. “Just to know the kids are looking up to me, being a Razorback, you know it’s cool,” said Sealy. “Seeing them in the same position I was in, in Springdale here at the Rec, it’s just real cool for sure.”Sealy was the consensus top-ranked player in the state coming out of high school. He averaged 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists in his final season, while leading the Bulldogs to a 6A state runner-up finish. Now, he says he’s eager to compete with the Razorbacks and assume any role needed on the team.”You know, if I need to bring the ball up, if I need to play the wing, if I need to guard a four or three, I can do that,” said Sealy. “That’s how I see it, just whatever I need to do to win for Coach Cal.”
