Jacob Trouba is reportedly not participating in the New York Rangers’ practice on Friday morning due to what is categorized as roster management reasons.

This likely indicates that a trade might be imminent, or Trouba could potentially be placed on waivers.

Victor Mancini is anticipated to be summoned from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League to fill in for Trouba.

The Rangers’ captain has been the focus of ongoing trade speculation since the summer, which has only intensified as New York faced challenges this season.

Rangers general manager Chris Drury issued a memo to the rest of the NHL nearly two weeks ago, indicating he was seeking to make adjustments to his roster with Trouba’s name specifically highlighted.

After 24 games, the 30-year-old blueliner has tallied six assists and six points while averaging 20:00 minutes of ice time per game.
